Wood's Edge

Wood's Edge by J.M. Pastels

Artist Comments

Once, a field of bright orange flowers came up against a thick, green forest. There was great contrast between the two, a clear difference in color, form, and character. Would the field and the forest ever come to mingle with each other? My abstract painting Wood's Edge was inspired by such an encounter that took place in Yosemite National Park in California.
